Vaseline

Now I am never one to rave about Vaseline, I am no Tyra Banks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOR4qekHWlA) however I read somewhere that vaseline does a great job at removing eye makeup. So today after using tons of Gold eyeliner (I read in Glamour that it makes your eyes seem more open haha) I used vaseline to remove it. And I have to say, it did a really good job. My eyelashes feel a bit funny, but the vaseline did a great job removing the mascara and eye liner. Give it a try!

Hair Myth

I was talking to a friend the other day when the topic of shiny hair came up. Is it possible that the long shiny mane that only appears to exist in Garnier Fructis ads can be possible for you, if you would be willing to give up so comfort in the shower? After researching a bit online I found that people are saying that blasting your hair with cold water in the shower (at least at the end when you are rinsing out conditioner) can help seal the hair follicles which helps with shine when the hair dries. I tried it out today and my hair seems a bit shinier, but I guess whatever works for you!

I Told You So

In the June edition of Elle, beauty bombshell Scarlett Johansson spills her beauty secret. She never goes to bed with makeup on, even if it is an absurd hour in the night. No wonder she has such flawless skin. She also mentioned that she washes her makeup brushes once a week. I personally do it a little less often, meaning every month or so, but I do think it makes a difference. I wash them under warm water using about a dime size amount of hair shampoo per brush and rinse them till the water runs clear. Having a clean makeup brush ensures you aren't just pushing buildup around your face!
